Ukrainian cinema is preparing a sensation for all fans of children's literature. Roman Krasnoshchok and Anton Chistyakov, two talented directors, have announced their plans to film one of the most famous Ukrainian children's books — "Toreadors from Vasyukivka" by Vsevolod Nestayka.

Both directors admitted that they had been fascinated by this book since childhood and always dreamed of seeing its adaptation. "The main theme of the book is true friendship and growing up, " they noted.

"We are fulfilling not only the dream of our childhood, but also the dream of all other children."

The producer of the film will be Veronika Stepanchuk, who has already distinguished herself on the Ukrainian film market thanks to such films as "My thoughts are quiet", "How is Katya" and "Inheritance of Lies". "Toreadors from Vasyukivka" is a trilogy written by Vsevolod Nestayk in 1963-1970. According to the plot, two friends, Java and Pavlusha, who live in the village, have incredible adventures, wanting to become famous throughout the world. They are trying to become bullfighters, catch foreign spies and conquer Kyiv.
