Ukrainian creators announce a new comedy animated film with Antonio Lukich

Ukrainian animation continues to gain popularity in the international arena. During the Annecy Animated Film Festival, it was announced that the creators of the successful film Mavka. Song of the Forest are teaming up with director Antonio Lukic to create a new comedy animated film.

New comedy drama called "Family Squad"

The new project called "Family Squad" will be a comedy drama aimed at young people. The plot revolves around Serhii Punko, a lonely gas station attendant, whose life changes drastically after the mistake of the angel of death. Sergei gets a second chance and must return to Earth to find at least one person who needs him.

Finding yourself and new relationships

Returning to Earth, Sergei goes in search of his father, meeting new friends and saving the child's life. This is a story about self-discovery and redemption that will not leave any viewer indifferent.

"Animation is a unique genre that thrives on juxtaposition, gracefully interweaving seemingly incomparable elements. In the film, we delve into the absurdity of life's contrasts, combining humor with sharp social commentary. It's a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, which resonates with viewers through to the whole world, " says film producer Anna Eliseyeva.

Antonio Lukic: a new challenge as a creative producer

Antonio Lukic will join the team as a creative producer. He notes:

"As an aspiring creative producer, I am extremely excited to be part of the film's team. My goal is to help talented people find their ideal medium, and for many, that medium is animation. Why animation, you ask? Because it has the opportunity to explore areas, which are beyond the reach of the camera. I firmly believe that humor and irony are his natural language. This film will be a real sensation."

Creative team and future success

The director of the film will be Konstantin Fedorov, and the production designer - Kris Koskinen. Both have already proven their skill in working on the film "Mavka. Forest Song". Fedorov describes the new film as a transformative journey of self-discovery and redemption that invites viewers to explore the complexities of life and human relationships.

It is expected that "Family Squad" will become a new stage in the development of Ukrainian animation, attracting the attention of both young audiences and adult viewers around the world.
