The annual Children's Film Festival is once again ready to become a platform for young filmmakers, giving them the opportunity to showcase their talents to the world. Within the 2025 festival, the ninth Short Film Competition will be held, which attracts children aged 7 to 14 from all over Ukraine.

The festival provides a unique opportunity for young directors to try themselves in the art of cinema by presenting their works to the jury. Participants can present both game and animation tapes with a duration of 1 to 8 minutes. There are no genre restrictions, allowing children to freely express their ideas and visions.

The application process is simplified as much as possible. Participants must upload their videos to one of the free online services and fill out an application on the festival's official website. The collection of works will last until May 4, 2025, so everyone who wishes still has time to prepare their masterpieces.
Determining the winners: who will gain recognition
The selection committee will announce the finalists on May 13, 2025. The premiere of the best works will take place during the twelfth Children's Film Festival, which will be held from May 30 to June 8. However, the real intrigue is the Closing Ceremony on June 8, where the winners will be announced, receiving not only recognition, but also cash prizes.

The festival, which has been introducing children to modern European cinema for 11 years, is gaining more and more popularity. In 2024, it attracted more than 29, 000 viewers, which shows the growing interest in children's cinema in Ukraine. Children Filmfest is not only about movies, it's about dreams and making them come true.
