Valentina Hamaiko's candid story about her career and family
Ukrainian TV presenter Valentina Khamayko, known for her work on the "1+1" channel, shared intimate details of her professional and personal life in an interview that recently appeared on the YouTube channel.
The first steps on "1+1" and an unexpected pause
Khamaiko talked about her start on the "1+1" channel in 2009, when she participated in the "Real Doctors" project. The project was special for her, because it allowed her to combine medical education with television experience. But after that, her career on television was paused due to family circumstances: the birth of her third child and an almost five-year maternity leave.
"My development on "1+1" had a certain period, because in 2009 I appeared in the project "Real Doctors", in which I managed to combine both television experience and medical education. Then there was a pause of five years on maternity leave, I had my third child, and I devoted five years completely to my family and children, " says Valentyna Hamaiko.
Return to screen: Were there offers from other channels?
After a long break, Hamaiko tried to return to television. She sent her resume to "1+1", but did not receive a response. The presenter also admitted that she had offers from other TV channels, but they did not interest her.
"There were some offers for castings, but I understood that this was not my story, I was not interested, so I did not consider these offers. I considered returning to "1+1" for myself, I sent a resume, but no one responded. I drew for myself how I can remind myself, this is a big gap of five years, " Hamaiko said.
New projects and future plans
From 2016 to 2023, Valentyna Khamayko hosted the show "Breakfast. Weekend", and after the end of this project, she switched to "Breakfast with 1+1". Since the spring of this year, she has been collaborating with Akhtem Seitablaev in the "Brave Hearts" project.
Valentina also talked about her new clothing brand, which emphasizes her versatility and talent. Her husband, Andriy Onistrat, also recently mentioned their marriage after 18 years of dating, adding even more romance to their story.
