Host Valentyna Khamayko reveals how she dared to have four children without a passport stamp
Valentina Khamayko's frank confession about motherhood without marriage
Ukrainian TV presenter Valentyna Khamayko, known for her morning show "Breakfast with 1+1", gave a candid interview where she talked about her difficult journey to motherhood without an official marriage certificate. Khamayko shared how she dared to give birth to four children without being officially married to her beloved Andriy Onistrat.
"When we started our relationship, Andrei had two failed relationships and I had this experience. Therefore, each of us had questions, will we be able to form a harmonious family where each of us will be as comfortable as possible? I had no confidence, what will happen in three years. When we started living together, I set a deadline for myself - three years, " said Valentina Hamaiko.
Responsibility during childbirth: Valentina signed the documents
Valentina paid special attention to the topic of responsibility during childbirth. Due to the lack of an official marriage, she was forced to sign documents that allowed her lover to make decisions in extreme situations during the birth of children.
"When I went into labor, I wrote you a document that you can make decisions for me if the birth goes wrong and you have to choose who stays alive - me or the baby. I am signing this paper for you because you and I are not in an official relationship."
Wedding after 18 years: the stamp in the passport has acquired a new meaning
After 18 years of relationship, Valentina and Andriy decided to officially get married, and this step became an important symbol for them. The war in Ukraine pushed the couple to this decision, which was not of much importance to them before.
"For us, the painting was never an important point in life, it was more important for us to form a harmonious relationship. We worked so hard on it that after ten years of living together we realized that we were ready to get married. We decided everything spontaneously. We didn't even think about doing it publicly."
Summary and meaning of the event
Valentina Hamaiko's story shows that real relationships do not always need official documents. Her frankness and courage inspire others, demonstrating that the main thing is harmony and mutual understanding in the family, and not a stamp in the passport. However, in the conditions of the war, legal aspects take on a new meaning, which prompted the couple to officially marry.
