The anticipation is building as February 8 marks the beginning of the national selection finals for Eurovision 2025 in Ukraine. This year's lineup is packed with talent and diversity, promising an unforgettable show.

A Star-Studded Selection

The recent draw conducted on January 23 set the stage for the grand finale. Hosted by Timur Miroshnychenko and Anna Tuliyeva, the event was attended by the musical producer Tina Karol and creative producer Herman Nienov. All eyes were on the contestants as they prepared to showcase their performances.

Vlad Sherif, known for his past appearances as a backing vocalist, will open the show with "Wind of Change." This former "Voice of the Country" graduate has already made a name for himself as a popular Ukrainian blogger. His journey from the background to center stage is a testament to his dedication.

Diverse Talents on Display

Following Vlad, Abiye will perform her song "Dim." With a unique style blending acoustic rock and soul, Abiye's music resonates deeply, especially with her performances for soldiers on the front lines.

The band MOLODI, hailing from Mariupol, will step up third with their collaborative creation "My Sea." Their journey from a 2020 start to releasing their first song in 2022 in Kyiv is an inspiring tale of perseverance.

New Faces and Eurovision Veterans

Future Culture and their fusion of jazz and funk will bring an eclectic vibe to the stage, performing "Waste My Time." Meanwhile, Masha Kondratenko, suspected last year of being the masked Klavdia Petrivna, will present "No Time to Cry."

Returning to the competition for the third time, KHAYAT aims to capture hearts with "Honor." His previous attempts have seen him rise steadily in the rankings, proving his resilience and passion for Eurovision glory.

Controversies and Inspirations

FIЇNKA, known for her Hutsul-inspired music, has faced plagiarism accusations but found support in Tina Karol. Her journey adds a layer of intrigue to this year's contest.

The young artist KRYLATA returns with "STAY TRUE, " a song born out of the blackouts in Kyiv. Her resilience in re-entering the competition showcases her commitment to her craft.

Closing the lineup, Ziferblat and DK Energetyk, with their unique soundscapes, will rock the stage with "Bird of Pray" and "Sіl, " respectively.

As the finalists gear up for the television concert, excitement is in the air. Who will earn the honor of representing Ukraine in Basel, Switzerland, this May? One thing is certain: this year's selection is bound to be a thrilling spectacle.
