Today, September 19, Viktor Andrienko, an actor and director who became famous thanks to the humorous TV show "The Weevil Show", celebrates his 65th birthday. His life path is a true example of devotion to art and his own country.

From Zaporozhye to Kyiv: the beginning of a creative journey

Born in Zaporizhzhia, Viktor Andrienko began his career in the regional music and drama theater, where he worked as a senior stage fitter. After that, he decided to get a professional education and in 1980 he graduated from the Kyiv Theater Institute named after Ivan Karpenko-Kary.

Humorous "Weevil Show" and work abroad

For many years, Andrienko delighted the audience with his humorous roles in the Weevil Show. Until 2014, he often worked in Russia, but after the start of the war, he completely returned to the Motherland.

A break with the past and a new path

Two years ago, Viktor's life changed radically. Despite numerous offers to go abroad, he decided to stay in Ukraine. In his interview for the "Alone" project, he said that on February 24 he was supposed to visit Kharkiv to distribute Braille books to blind and partially sighted children.

"I've always planned everything. But on February 24, when I was supposed to hand out books in Braille to blind and partially sighted children in Kharkiv and give away my copy of the legends, it didn't happen, " the cultural activist shared.

The voice inside and devotion to the Motherland

This realization became a key moment for Victor. He understood that he should be exactly where he was needed.

"I had many offers from close friends to go to the Czech Republic, America, Berlin, Australia. However, I refused. Why? You should be here. I think it was necessary, " said the director.

Results and the future

Viktor Andrienko continues to work actively and remain an important part of the Ukrainian cultural scene. His devotion to his country is an example to many.
