Instead of Eurovision 2020, an alternative online concert will be held on May 16, 2020
All the contestants who planned to come to the Netherlands for Eurovision will take part in an online concert. The organizers are counting on this.
They announced an online concert of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, which will take place in replacement of the traditional show, canceled due to coronavirus. An alternative online show will take place on May 16, it will be called "Eurovision Europe shines with light" (Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light)
They also expect that all the contestants who planned to come to the Netherlands for Eurovision will take part in an online concert. In general, 41 participants had to go to the contest, the organizers want the whole 41 songs to be played online.
In addition, the organizers called on national broadcasters, members of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to also broadcast this show. The broadcast will be on the contest channel on YouTube. It is expected that the show will last about two hours, and those artists who participated in Eurovision in previous years will also be invited to perform. As UNIAN reported earlier, the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 was canceled due to coronavirus. The competition was to be held in Rotterdam from May 12 to 16. Ukraine at Eurovision 2020 should be represented by Go_A. Now the group will represent our country at the next Eurovision 2021.
