Vogue Ukraine launched a new Vogue Leaders initiative: who made the list?
Vogue Ukraine presented a new ambitious project — Vogue Leaders, which will honor outstanding figures of art, diplomacy, education and public activists. This initiative will be annual and aims to inspire the audience to create a strong creative Ukraine.
The first heroines of Vogue Leaders
On July 17, the Unit.City innovation park hosted the Vogue Ukraine Leaders Class of 2024 summit. One of the main characters of the first edition was marketer and PR specialist Yaroslava Gres, who built the global fundraising platform UNITED24.
From a journalist to a leader
In five years, Yaroslava Gres went from being a journalist to being the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Hello" (Ukraine) and founded the agency "Agentstvo" together with her brother. In April 2022, she joined UNITED24 as a platform coordinator.
The purpose of the new initiative
"The goal of the new Vogue Ukraine Leaders initiative is to inspire the audience to create a strong creative Ukraine and to expand the opportunities of those who are already leaders or aspire to become one, " commented the Vogue editors.
Debut edition
War journalist and director Mstislav Chernov was on the cover of the debut issue of Vogue Leaders. This issue laid the groundwork for a tradition that will celebrate outstanding creative individuals making an impact on society each summer.
Impact on the future
Vogue believes that the creative industries are a powerful lever of influence and a driver of building a better future for Ukraine. To tell the stories of the brightest representatives of these industries is an honorable mission of the publication.
"At 20 years old you read Vogue, at 30 years old you write in Vogue. At 40 years old you are in Vogue, " Yaroslava Gres writes on her Instagram page.
