Inaugurating a new era in the world of superhero cinema, Venom: The Last Dance has been a surprise international success despite a more subdued performance in the United States. In the first 10 days, this film collected an impressive $317 million, of which the lion's share - $227 million - came from international markets.

Chinese and Mexican phenomenon

It is worth noting that it was China and Mexico that became the main engines of the tape's success. The Chinese market scored an impressive $70.6 million, while Mexican audiences contributed $13.4 million. Such a strong start internationally came as a surprise, given that US domestic dropped 49% in its second weekend, albeit the smallest drop of any installment in the franchise.

"This film is not just a struggle for survival, but a real dance on the edge of possibilities, " commented a fan of the series on social networks.

Low budget and high ambitions

Interestingly, "Venom: The Last Dance" had a relatively modest budget of $120 million, which is significantly less than many superhero films. For comparison, "Joker 2" and "Deadpool and Wolverine" cost $200 million each. This approach allowed the creators to focus on the quality of the story and the efficiency of the use of resources.

Dramatic ending of the trilogy

The last part of the trilogy is not just another story about fighting bad guys. The Venom symbiote and its carrier Eddie Brock (played by Tom Hardy) face a moral dilemma that forces them to risk everything to save the planet. This gives the film a new dimension and makes it a meaningful finale to the trilogy.

Despite mixed reviews from critics, who scored just 39% on Rotten Tomatoes, audiences were more favorable, scoring the film 81%. This once again confirms that audiences often judge films by different criteria than professional critics, and "Venom: The Last Dance" was a real gift for fans of the franchise.
