Kazka's Evolution: How One Voice Defined a Band
From its inception, the band Kazka was destined for a dynamic journey in the Ukrainian music scene. Originally envisioned by producer Yuri Nikitin as a trio with diverse personalities, the lineup was meant to include a curly-haired member, a plus-sized singer, and possibly a dark-skinned artist. However, fate had different plans.
The Surprise Discovery of a Star
Amid the auditions, Oleksandra Zaritska emerged as a standout performer. Initially, she was allotted a single line in the song "Svyata, " but her rendition was so captivating that the entire creative team was left in awe.
"When we recorded, they kept listening and said: 'Sing the whole thing!'"
It was this moment that shifted the course of Kazka's destiny, making Zaritska the sole vocalist of the group.
The Unexpected Turn of Events
Originally, the project was initiated for a different singer, whose name now remains largely unspoken in Ukraine. With Zaritska’s undeniable talent, the decision was made not to fill the third spot in the band, marking a pivotal change in its composition.
The Evolving Lineup and New Beginnings
The male members of Kazka, often less in the spotlight, have seen changes as well. With Mazuryak now serving in the musical branch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and another member taking a creative hiatus, newcomers Matviy and Kostya have stepped in to continue the band’s legacy.
Kazka Today: Oleksandra's Leading Role
Today, while the lineup might change, Oleksandra Zaritska remains the shining star of Kazka. Her voice not only defines the band but also continues to capture the hearts of fans worldwide. As the band progresses, it remains a symbol of resilience and adaptation in the ever-evolving music industry.
