Popular chef Yevhen Klopotenko took an unexpected step in his career by participating in Ukrainian Fashion Week. During the event, which took place for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he made his debut on the catwalk in an outfit from the collection by the brand STARCHAK.

Klopotenko's unexpected debut

Klopotenko caused a real sensation by sharing photos from the podium on his Instagram. He appeared in a soft lemon raincoat, a brown semi-transparent t-shirt and an original belt reflecting Ukrainian ethnicity. Fans were surprised, but at the same time excited about his new role.

"I'm on the podium. It's a shock. It's somehow so nice to present the STARCHAK collection, which combines traditional Ukrainian crafts: vytinankarstvo and carving. And also to do it for a charitable purpose, " commented Yevhen.

Fashion with a charitable purpose

This year's Ukrainian Fashion Week had a special emphasis on charity. The STARCHAK collection, presented by Klopotenko, not only showed the beauty of Ukrainian traditions, but was also part of a charity initiative. Such support is extremely important at a time when every gesture of solidarity counts for a lot.

Importance of cultural heritage

Yevhen also emphasized that Ukrainian culture is much broader than the well-known Vyshyvanka. He emphasized that in every field, including fashion, cooking and others, Ukraine has something to be proud of.

"What I want to say in conclusion: Ukrainian vyshyvanka is very cool, but we have a lot more besides it. Ukrainian borscht is beautiful, but we still have so much delicious and unique. And so in every, every sphere. We are all much broader, bigger, deeper than others think about us and than we think about ourselves, " Klopotenko wrote.

Summary and forecast for the future

This event not only highlighted the richness of Ukrainian traditions, but also showed that fashion can be a tool for highlighting important social issues. Yevgeny Klopotenko's debut as a model confirmed that the Ukrainian fashion industry is keeping up with the times and is ready for new challenges. In the future, we can expect even more interesting collaborations and events that emphasize the uniqueness of our culture.
