Nadiya Dorofeeva, now a beacon of Ukrainian pop music, traveled a long and winding road before claiming her spot in the limelight. Recently unearthed archival footage reveals a young Dorofeeva with fiery red hair, embracing the quintessential 2000s fashion and hairstyle, complete with her signature pigtails.

A Starlet in the Making

Before she dazzled audiences as part of the duo "Vremya i Steklo, " Dorofeeva was making her mark in the early Ukrainian pop scene. She participated in numerous girl groups, such as "MCHS" and "Respect, " showcasing her vibrant style and burgeoning talent. Despite their potential, these groups failed to achieve widespread success.

The GLAM Era

In 2007, Dorofeeva auditioned for the girl group GLAM, an ambitious project by producer Ihor Kondratyuk to create a Ukrainian equivalent of the Spice Girls. The group included fellow artists like MamaRika and gained attention through the music show "American Chance." However, the project was short-lived, leaving Dorofeeva searching for her breakthrough moment.

The Breakthrough

Dorofeeva's perseverance paid off in 2010 when she joined "Vremya i Steklo, " alongside rapper Positiv (Oleksii Zavgorodnii). Although she wasn't the initial choice, her audition impressed producer Potap enough to secure her place in the duo. The group quickly rose to fame, producing numerous hits and amassing millions of YouTube views.

Solo Success

After "Vremya i Steklo" disbanded in 2020, Dorofeeva launched her solo career as DOROFEEVA. Her debut track "Gorit" climbed the charts, and her subsequent releases continued to solidify her status as a leading artist in Ukraine.

Today, Dorofeeva stands as a testament to determination and talent, inspiring a new generation of musicians. Her journey from aspiring vocalist to pop royalty highlights her unwavering commitment to her craft.
