Victory on V.i.Z. Film Fest in Bulgaria
The film "Meeting" became a vivid example of how Ukrainian cinema can compete at the world level. Serhiy Nosenko, director and screenwriter of the film, shared his impressions on his Facebook:
"The enemy continues terrorist attacks. Front-line Zaporozhye wakes up and falls asleep to the sound of air raid sirens. And we shoot a movie. It is very necessary, very timely, bright and positive. This film is about hope, about the light at the end of the tunnel, about the fact that love wins in spite of everything."
Filming in war conditions
The film was shot in Zaporizhzhia from the end of 2023 to the beginning of 2024. It is important to note that the entire team consisted of local talents. Director of photography Oleksandr Oliynyk, producer Natalia Nosenko and actors Rostislav Anasiychuk and Alena Magura Pavlukhina - they all combined their efforts to create this tape. The filming process took place thanks to the organizational support of Olga Donik, the director and artistic director of the "Actor's House" municipal theater.
